Family Photo Sessions:
+ Avoid logos and words. I won't be editing out logos.
+ Avoid matching outfits. They’ll start to blend together.
+ The brighter the color, the less there should be of it.
+ One patterned outfit for every three solid-colored outfits.
+ Pull colors from a patterned outfit to coordinate the rest of the outfits.
+ Avoid skinny stripes and small plaid prints.
+ Diaper covers for under those dresses!
+ Layers look great! Wear sweaters, vests, leggings, bowties, and headbands.
+ Avoid having every single person in black and/or white.
+ Women and girls, wear that dress! I love capturing the movement of a dress.
+ Wear comfortable shoes to walk in. We will be walking in wet grass, dirt, sand, water and/or rocks.
+ Remove cell phones and keys from front pocket prior to session.
Studio Newborn Session:
Feeding:
+ Plan on feeding baby at some point during your newborn session. Sometimes they'll need to be fed right when you get to the studio and/or during the session.
+ If bottle feeding, please pack enough for two feedings.
+ If your baby likes their pacifier, please bring one to the studio.
+ Dress baby in something that doesn't go over head (like a onesie). Loose button up or zipper pajamas are perfect.
Clothing for siblings and parents:
+ Avoid neon colors, logos, and large wording.
+ One patterned outfit for every three solid-colored outfits.
+ Pull colors from a patterned outfit to coordinate the rest of the outfits.
+ Shoes can be worn in the studio, however, barefoot would look best.
+ Remove everything from your pockets.
+ My client closet is for YOU to use. I have adult dresses, sitter/toddler dresses, and newborn outfits.
+ You do not need to bring any props, swaddles, and/or outfits for your baby. I provide everything for your baby in the studio.
In-Home Newborn Session:
+ Make sure your baby has a full tummy before our session. Plan on feeding baby at some point during your newborn session.
+ Your baby should be in a simple onesie, pajama outfit, or a diaper with blanket.
+ Beige, whites, denim, and greys are great colors for parents and siblings to wear.
+ Comfortable clothing is important.
+ Tidy nightstands, countertops, and end tables.
+ I'll be utilizing rooms with the best light -- master bedroom, living room, and/or nursery.
+ Open all blinds to allow as much light as possible.
+ Turn the heat up a tad bit higher than usual for sleepy baby photos.
+ I will bring along swaddles and a basket or two for individual photos of baby.
